LITTLE WORKS OF ART
Each feather is a work of art in itself. Each feather composition receives just as much consideration and delicate work as a life-size bird. It takes between 12 - 26 hours to make one feather depending on the size.
FEATHERS MAKE MEMORABLE GIFTS!
ANY FEATHER CAN BE MADE TO ORDER
Blue jay, northern flicker, red tail hawk, pheasant tail...you name it!
Each base is made of locally sourced wood. Burled walnut, live-edge butternut or oak are typically used for the bases and often the woodgrain is just as beautiful as the feather.
METAL GRASSES AND PAPER LEAVES
Feathers presented much like you would find them on a stroll through the prairie or timber. Elegantly suspended by grasses or plants, they seemingly defy gravity.
Tupelo wood can be quite strong, especially when the grain direction is parallel to the feather length. The feathers are carved paper-thin to enhance realism.
FOR THE FAN WHO HAS EVERYTHING.
Did you know that more than 500 professional sports, college and high school teams in the United States have a bird as their mascot? Some of the mascots are real birds like eagles, cardinals or a bluejay and some are fictitious like the jay hawk.
Team feathers are realistic looking feathers painted in team spirit colors. The base and habitat can either be painted in natural colors or team spirit colors.
For the fan who has everything, give them the gift of a real feather from their favorite avian mascot!
